Vendla is a sewing pattern for a men’s reversible gilet in sizes 44 to 64: a relaxed-fit quilted gilet with shaped yokes and large patch pockets on one side, and a chest pocket and welt pockets on the other. Made with an oilskin or other outdoor fabric outer and a teddy fleece, fleece or wool-blend lining, it becomes a gilet for autumn and winter. About the pattern
Vendla is a relaxed-fit reversible gilet for cooler days. The outer-fabric side has shaped yokes on the front and back and large patch pockets. Decorative topstitching holds the wadding in place and gives the gilet its signature look. The lining side comes with a chest pocket and single welt pockets. A chest dart improves the fit. You can close it with either a zip or press studs.

Fabric & sizes
Fabric choice:
The pattern is designed for woven fabrics. The gilet is made of three layers: an outer fabric – ideally a hard-wearing, water-repellent outdoor fabric (e.g. a synthetic woven), insulation such as wadding (e.g. Thinsulate P80 for Central European winters) and a lining fabric such as a wool blend, teddy fleece or fleece. Vendla looks especially good in oilskin.
