Kalix is a sewing pattern for a women’s hoodie in sizes 30 to 60: a relaxed oversized jumper with panels and slightly dropped shoulders. Choose between a hood, a stand-up collar or a simple neckband, plus a large or a small kangaroo pocket – and the panels are perfect for colour blocking and using up fabric scraps, so every piece becomes one of a kind. Kalix is suitable for beginners too, and a sewing video on YouTube shows you every step.

About the pattern

Version 3.0 – new instructions

What’s new? The instructions have been completely redesigned: 24 pages, every step illustrated, clickable contents and versions, with adjustments for length, width and FBA/SBA. The A4 file now comes in two parts (EU 30–46 and EU 44–60), each version can be printed separately, and every size is also available as its own A0 file. The pattern pieces and sizes are unchanged. If you have already bought the pattern, you can download the latest version from your customer account.

Hood, stand-up collar or neckband:

  • ✓ Hood – lined with jersey, optional eyelets and drawcord
  • ✓ Stand-up collar – sporty, with a ribbing centre panel
  • ✓ Neckband – a simple ribbing finish if you want neither hood nor collar

Two kangaroo pockets:

  • ✓ Large kangaroo pocket – with side pieces and lining
  • ✓ Small kangaroo pocket – patch pocket

Fabric & sizes

Fabric choice:

The pattern is designed for knit fabrics. Sweatshirt fabric, lightweight sweatshirt fabric and French terry work especially well. The hood is lined with jersey, and the hem and sleeves finish with ribbing – made from ribbing fabric or the main fabric.

Women EU 30–60 | US 0–30 | UK 4–34 | XXS–4XL

Kalix comes in 16 sizes from 30 to 60 – including plus sizes. You’ll find the size chart further down this page, and right below it the size calculator helps you choose your size.
