Rølla is a women’s long-sleeve top sewing pattern for rib jersey or ribbing, in sizes 30 to 60. Instead of ribbing or binding, a rolled hem finishes the neckline, sleeves and hem, and a ruffle in the centre front seam adds a special detail. Adapted with short sleeves, Rølla becomes a summer top. Rølla is beginner-friendly, and a sewing video on YouTube shows you every step.

About the pattern

The centre front seam with its inset ruffle is such a pretty design element. Rølla sits close to the body without feeling tight – slightly fitted at the waist and comfortable to wear.

The sewing pattern is ideal for ribbing and rib jersey, but stretch lace is also a beautiful choice for an especially romantic look.

Fabric & sizes

Fabric choice:

The pattern is designed for stretch knit fabrics with at least 40–50 % stretch across the width. Ribbing, rib jersey and fine stretch knits work especially well. Stretch lace is an equally lovely choice and gives Rølla a romantic touch – for lace, I recommend finishing with French seams.
